Apple Cider Recipe

Place the following ingredients in your crockpot and allow them to simmer for 2 – 3 hours.  You can tie the cloves and ginger up in a piece of cheesecloth or a coffee filter.

2 quarts of apple cider or high quality apple juice

1/4 to 1/3 cup of brown sugar

2 cinnamon sticks

4 cloves

1/8 tsp. of nutmeg

one orange sliced

You can put a teaspoon of caramel in the bottom of the mug before adding cider.  Or simply serve with a cinnamon stick.
