Broccoli Wild Rice Soup

Here is a great soup recipe from my friend, Tonya.   I love Broccoli Wild Rice Soup, so I am eager to try this.
Broccoli Wild Rice Soup
Place in a soup pot:
6 cups of water
1 box of Uncle Ben’s Chicken and Wild Rice Mix, including seasoning packet.
Cover and bring to a boil.  Turn down heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add:
1 – 8 ounce package Kraft Philadelphia cream cheese, cut into small pieces
Stir and heat until the cream cheese is melted.
(Note: I tried a generic brand which did not melt completely)
Remover cover and add:
16 ounce package of frozen chopped broccoli or broccoli florets
Cook until broccoli is almost done.
Add and stir well:
1 can of carrots with liquid
1 can of cream of chicken soup

Notes from Tonya:
1. Frozen cauliflower can be substituted.
2. The original rcipe came from Taste of Home’s Quick Cooking Magazine from a few years ago.  I have made a few changes, and the above recipe reflects the changes that I made.  It is a thick and heart soup, and any leftovers are good.  Also, this recipe is good to double for a large group of people.
